According to Midwife Tracy Donegan, brain training is no longer the domain of Google executives and elite athletes. Brain training and bio hacking is the future of childbirth education. Donegan credits her impressively low cesarean section rate of 4% to the unique neuroscience based techniques taught in her weekend workshop and homestudy course.

Midwife and author Tracy Donegan launched her unique Brain Training for Birth program in Mountain View, California this week.

Says Donegan, "Our mantra is that a positive birth comes in many forms." According to Donegan, high-performing professionals expect more from their childbirth ed classes. "GentleBirth couples learn more than breathing techniques, so we’re definitely not your average prenatal class," she adds." The class is based in brain science, leading edge performance/sports psychology as well as midwifery evidence based care. Mindfulness and CBT is an integral part of this pioneering program and is shown to reduce PPD.

Donegan will be showcasing her GentleBirth program at the Bay Area Birth Information annual pregnancy and birth fair at Capri Elementary school Campbell this coming Saturday September 6.

Classes begin on October 11 at Blossom Birth in Palo Alto.
