Aquatherm Industries, Inc. the largest manufacturer of solar thermal equipment in the United States, announced today its total solar collector production has surpassed 2.3 Million collectors, or 100 Million square feet.

The announcement coincides with the company's 25th anniversary celebration, having been founded in July 1989. The manufacturer estimates its solar pool heaters have helped close to 700,000 pool owners enjoy a longer, more comfortable swimming season, based on average system sizes for both inground and above ground pool heaters.

Based on EPA estimates, and a 15-year average system lifespan, solar pool heaters using Aquatherm's unique tube-and-web have offset over 12 Million tons of CO2 to date, or the equivalent of burning over 25 Million barrels of oil or nearly 12 Billion pounds of coal.

At Aquatherm's 50,000 square foot ISO 9001:2008 registered facility in Lakewood, New Jersey, a three-shift operation is tasked with producing the best solar pool heater in the world.
