The deadline to nominate developments for the Novogradac Journal of Tax Credits Developments of Distinction Awards has been extended to Sept. 19, 2014. The awards were created to commend outstanding affordable rental housing properties built or preserved using the low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC). Since 2009, the Developments of Distinction Awards have recognized more than 50 developments for their innovative uses of tax credit financing and the broader positive impact they have made in their communities.

In addition to being honored in a ceremony at the Novogradac Tax Credit Developers Conference, Jan. 8, 2015, in Miami Beach, Fla, winners and honorable mentions of the Developments of Distinction Awards receive:
Nominations for 2014 awards are open to all developers with LIHTC transactions closed in 2013 or 2014. A nominating entity may nominate multiple developments, and/or suggest nominations for more than one category. Judges will determine to which category the nominated entity is best suited.
