Startgrid Announces Formation of At Impact During SOCAP14 Conference in San Francisco
BURLINGAME, Calif. (PRWEB) September 02, 2014 -- Startgrid, an online platform for entrepreneurial communities, announces the formation of At Impact during the SOCAP14 conference held Sept. 2-5 at historic Fort Mason in San Francisco. The At Impact community will be launching on Startgrid in October 2014.
Startgrid has partnered with a consortium of organizations serving entrepreneurs to create At Impact, a forum for strengthening relationships and increasing collaboration throughout the social enterprise community. Key strategic partners in At Impact include Agora Partnerships, Artha Platform, the Global Social Benefit Institute (GSBI), Inner City Advisors (ICA), Mentor Capital Network, MicroMentor, Pacific Community Ventures, SOCAP, Startgrid, Unreasonable Institute, and Village Capital.
Startgrid founder Peter Gardner says the focus of At Impact is to create a community where people building social enterprises can come together in one place to grow their ideas.
“At Impact will be a global community on Startgrid where those on a shared mission to solve the world’s greatest challenges, from financial inclusion to clean water to sustainable food systems, can come together to collaborate and share wisdom,” Gardner says. “Our shared vision is to harness the expertise of all these different organizations so that we can strengthen our collective support for social entrepreneurs. Working together, we can help social enterprises succeed, making a bigger impact on some of the world’s major social issues.”
Startgrid also has been named the official platform for scholarship entrepreneurs invited to SOCAP14. Scholarship entrepreneurs — promising entrepreneurs invited from around the world by event organizers to attend SOCAP14 — can connect with the broader impact community on Startgrid before, during and after the event. By using Startgrid, the scholarship entrepreneurs can build awareness of their enterprises, benefit from feedback from Thought Leaders and others in the impact community, and forge the key relationships that ultimately help them achieve their goals.
Elizabeth Krueger, Director of Content, SOCAP14, chose Startgrid for the conference because of its ability to foster stronger ties between entrepreneurs and the people who can help them grow.
“Startgrid is a great way to provide pre- and post-conference engagement for our SOCAP attendees. Our scholarship entrepreneurs need a way to make connections and tell their stories ahead of the event so they can maximize the value of in-person meetings during the conference and build relationships which will continue afterward,” Krueger said.
