The Sean Brock Foundation to Co-Sponsor Veteran's Day Race in Dublin, CA
Dublin, California (PRWEB) September 04, 2014 -- The Sean Brock Foundation (http://www.seanbrockfoundation.org) is pleased to announce that it will be co-sponsoring a race at US Army Camp Parks base in Dublin, California on Saturday November 15th. The event, starting at 9 a.m., will benefit Army morale programs and the Sean Brock Foundation.
“We think this will be a great event because we honor our Veterans in a way that brings the residents of the Tri-Valley back together with their Army,” said Command Sgt. Maj. Richard Kreiberg, Parks Garrison CSM. “We think our cooperative effort with Sean Brock Foundation will provide a great venue for people to come out, have fun, and donate to a great cause, highlighting the generous nature of our community.”
The event will have a 10K, 5K and children’s dash which will start and end on Arnold St., East of Parks. Additionally, there will be a formal reception and gala where the Sean Brock Foundation plans to award its first scholarship.
The Sean Brock Foundation was founded in 2012 by friends and family members of Captain Sean Brock, USMC killed in action in Iraq on February 2, 2005. The mission of the foundation is to promote education, an initiative near and dear to Captain Brock, by providing scholarships for children of wounded or fallen veterans.
“Coming off our successful race in Los Angeles, we look forward to another great opportunity to help the children of our heroes,“ said Bobby Khullar, Managing Director, close friend, and schoolmate to Captain Brock. “We are very excited to partner with Camp Parks and the City of Dublin for this exciting event.”
