The Craft & Hobby Association's 2014 Paper Arts Show Celebrates Success in Atlanta
Elmwood Park, New Jersey (PRWEB) September 02, 2014 -- The inaugural Craft & Hobby Association (CHA) 2014 Paper Arts Show made its debut in Atlanta, GA at the Hilton Atlanta on July 29 -31, 2014. The Show drew both U.S. and international attendees and exhibitors from South Africa, United Kingdom, Spain, Japan, Aruba, Canada, Nicaragua, France, Netherlands, Indonesia, Nepal and China.
The Paper Arts Show was created in response to the CHA memberships’ high demand for a paper centric show. It catered to manufacturers and retailers in the paper crafts industry, showcasing the latest paper, stamps, ink, embellishments, adhesives and more. The event kicked-off on July 29 with a full day of Conference sessions. Seminars organized by CHA’s Paper Arts Section focused on inventory management and holiday marketing. Attendees also participated in nine, sold-out Hands-on Workshops giving them a first look and feel for the newest products from leading manufactures including title sponsors of the event, Spellbinders and Sizzix/Ellison. The day ended with a welcome networking reception for attendees and exhibitors on the Show floor, sponsored by Anna Griffin.
The Trade Show floor officially opened on July 30. Exhibitors showcased their newest products and collections including holiday releases critical for retailer’s third and fourth quarter sales. The day ended with an “Open Market” event, an exclusive trade only cash and carry shopping event, where attendees were able to buy discounted products from participating manufacturers. This was the first time CHA has ever had a cash and carry event at a trade show and it was well received by both attendees and participating exhibitors.
“We pride ourselves in our ability to listen to our members and develop meaningful trade shows and programs that contribute to our members’ success and growth in the industry” stated Andrej Suskavcevic, President and CEO, CHA. “Our membership spoke and we listened, this was the first categorized show for CHA and it did really well”.
The next CHA industry event will be the CHA 2015 Conference & Trade Show (CHA MEGA Show) held January 9-13, 2015 in Anaheim, CA at the Anaheim Convention Center. For more information, visit http://www.craftandhobby.org/chashow.
