Acer Expands Tablet Range With Android, Windows and Different Screen Sizes
Berlin (PRWEB) September 03, 2014 -- Acer today announced two new tablets and expanded the Iconia One series to maximize enjoyment on the go or at home. They include the Iconia Tab 8 W, Iconia Tab 10 and Iconia One 8.
The Acer booth at IFA 2014 in Berlin Messe (Hall 12/101) will be open to the public from September 5-10, 2014, following the new product announcements at the Acer Global Press Conference on September 3.
Iconia Tab 8 W | Work and Play on the Go
The Acer Iconia Tab 8 W is an 8-inch tablet that is the ideal companion for both work and play. Running on the newest Windows 8.1 with Bing, the Iconia Tab 8 W comes with a one-year complementary Microsoft Office 365 Personal(3) for full-access to those applications that are essential for productivity, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook.
Thanks to its slim profile (9.75 millimeters/.38 inches) and very light weight (370 grams/.8 pounds), the Iconia Tab 8 W can be carried everywhere with ease, and provides up to 8 hours(4) of battery life. Its beautiful design will make an impression: the rear cover is clean and simple, combining silver and tactile patterns for a premium finish. The narrow 7 millimeter (.27 inch) bezel enhances the viewing experience on the 1280x800 HD display with IPS technology, which enables a wide viewing angle and provides consistent images, color and brightness.
Powered by an Intel® AtomTM Z3735G quad-core processor, the Iconia Tab 8 W responds promptly to multitasking, running games, playing videos, and browsing the web. The tablet features a Micro USB port that supports charging on the go, and is equipped with dual stereo speakers for a powerful surround effect and realistic lifelike audio. Dual cameras allow users to Skype™ while snapping photos and the microSD™ port allows for extended storage space.

Acer is expanding the Iconia One series with a larger 8-inch screen size and faster processing with a powerful Intel® AtomTM Z3735G quad-core processor. The Iconia One 8 comes in 10 lively colors to match the user’s personal style. Its back cover is decorated with a sophisticated textured pattern, which delivers a rich tactile experience and, thanks to the silky anti-slip finish, also allows for a firm grip. Measuring only 8.5 millimeters (.3 inches) thin and weighing less than 340 grams (.7 pounds), the Iconia One 8 is small enough to slip into a small bag and be carried everywhere. While it is designed to be travel-friendly, the screen remains big enough for an enjoyable viewing experience.
This tablet delivers sharp visuals and vivid images via its 1280x800 HD display, which also comes with Zero Air Gap and IPS technology for superb contrast and sharpness from wide viewing angles and better readability under sunlight.
