KURA MD and CLOUD DX INC to Offer Pulsewave® Monitoring Solution to Kura Customers Including Urgent Care Centers
Brooklyn NY (PRWEB) September 04, 2014 -- Pulsewave® by Cloud DX Inc. (a.k.a. Cloud Diagnostics®) is a USB-powered health monitor that records a pulse wave signal from the wrist and produces vital sign readings: blood pressure, heart rate, pulse variability, heart beat anomaly scores and (in Beta) respiration rate. Different than off-the-shelf medical devices, Pulsewave® provides unique results via a Patient Portal, Physician Portal and fully integrates with EMR/EHR systems utilizing HIPAA compatible cloud technology. Upcoming and future releases will include Bluetooth, Mobile Apps, Pulse/Ox and ECG. Pulsewave’s history includes 12 years of research & development and over $25mm in investment, resulting in a medical-grade, FDA approved, commercially ready telehealth platform.
On August 27th, Team Cloud DX was confirmed as one of 10 finalists for the Qualcomm Tricorder XPRIZE, a 3.5 year global competition sponsored by the Qualcomm Foundation for teams to develop a consumer-focused, mobile device capable of diagnosing and interpreting a set of 15 medical conditions and capturing five vital health metrics. As part of the Final Round, teams will compete in both diagnostic experience evaluations and consumer testing, slated for mid-to-late 2015. The final judging and awards ceremony will take place in early 2016.
Kevin Hamm, Founder & CEO of Kura MD, said, “We are excited about this new relationship and believe that the use of Pulsewave® will significantly enhance our ability to provide outstanding patient care via our telemedicine platform and bring added value to our clients.
