The automotive segment of the $100 billion information displays industry, still in its infancy, is rapidly evolving to meet the expectations of the always-on, always-connected consumer. Always-connected vehicle displays have quickly become ‘must haves’ for every domestic and foreign vehicle product line, from entry-level to luxury. In 2013, displays innovations helped Detroit’s Big 3 gain market share, contributing to more than $370 billion in combined annual revenues.
The symposium is the 21st industry gathering hosted by the Detroit Chapter of SID (Society of Information Display). It takes place Oct. 23-24, at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, Fairlane Center, Dearborn, Mich. The technical program features insights from more than 50 of the brightest minds and influencers across the vehicle display ecosystem, from global OEMs and top suppliers, to leading consultants and academicians.
Attendees will witness the future of advanced technology vehicle displays and commercial applications in 22 technical sessions and panels, with no overlap; 25 forward-looking paper sessions; and 27 exhibitor tabletops manned with technical reps to answer specific engineering project related questions.
The Technical Program Covers:
