The Thomasville Area Chamber of Commerce, based in Thomasville, North Carolina, recently partnered with Fort Worth-based Buxton to support its retail economic development efforts. Buxton’s advanced customer analytics will allow the Chamber to identify the retailers that match the shopping and dining habits of consumers in the City of Thomasville.
“Providing a convenient shopping and dining experience for the Thomasville community is a priority for local leaders,” said Douglas Croft, president of the Thomasville Area Chamber of Commerce. “We look forward to applying Buxton’s insights to recruit new retail, support existing businesses, and further enhance the quality of life for our residents.”
“Buxton is pleased to support the retail development efforts taking place in Thomasville,” said Ryon Stewart, director in Buxton’s public sector division. “Our best-in-class analytics will give local leaders the data needed to present a convincing case to retailers by quantifying retail potential in the trade area.”
By becoming a Buxton client, the Chamber will have access to SCOUT®, Buxton’s proprietary web-based real estate platform, giving local leaders information at their fingertips to analyze retail matches for different areas of the city.
Buxton has worked with more than 650 cities nationwide to implement retail and tourism development strategies. Clients include Fayetteville, North Carolina; North Augusta, South Carolina; and Petersburg, Virginia.
