Mayor Flips with Kids for Seniors
Pleasant Hill, CA (PRWEB) September 03, 2014 -- Come see how many pancakes Pleasant Hill Mayor Tim Flaherty can flip in a relay race to raise funds at the Annual Meals on Wheels and Senior Outreach Services' Fall Prevention Pancake Breakfast.
The Fall Prevention Program serves nearly 800 seniors a year, and since the program's inception, has made nearly 500 life-saving home modifications such as grab bars, stair railings, and ramps.
"The Pancake Breakfast is the biggest fundraiser for our Program," says Alayne Balke, Program Manager. "We hope to have a large crowd again this year. There will be a boutique, resource fair, free fall-risk assessments and plenty of pancakes? It's also Grandparents Day so bring your grandchildren and celebrate with us."
Breakfast tickets are $5 for adults; $3 for children ages 4-10; and children under 4 are free.
A special thank you to our Tall Stack Presenting Sponsors: Age Song, Blize Healthcare, Grace Healthcare of Pleasant Hill, Hillendale Home Care, Home Safety Services, Tampico Terrace, and Tice Valley Physical Therapy.
