New York Podiatrist Dr. Jeffrey L. Adler Provides Complimentary Consultation to Anna Runs America After 3,400 Mile Journey
New York, New York (PRWEB) September 04, 2014 -- Dr. Adler has been the sponsoring podiatrist for Anna Judd—a young woman running across the United States in support of veterans. Judd arrived in New York City on August 23, 2014, where she received a free examination of her feet at Adler Footcare a few days later.
Judd left Venice Beach, California on March 22, 2014 and arrived in New York City on August 23, 2014. She ran for 156 days, approximately four months straight, at an average of 30 miles a day, with Sundays off. She carried 22 rocks in a backpack to symbolize the number of veterans who reportedly commit suicide each day.
Dr. Adler gave Judd medical advice along the way to help her with foot problems she could experience, such as blisters, calluses, heel pain, arch pain, plantar fasciitis, and even knee, hip and back pain. He also sent her a foot-cooling device that replaced the need for icing her feet and legs every single day.
During Dr. Adler’s examination of Judd he was able to help her manage the foot pain and give her an overview of specific foot problems she may be faced with. He also referred her to a podiatrist in Beverly Hills who could offer her extended help closer to home.
During her consultation Judd posted on her Facebook Page: “I'm at Adler Footcare of Greater New York getting my paws checked out. For the last month of my trip my left heel has barely touched the ground. About to find out how much damage I've done. I think it's a lot.
