Realogics Sotheby's International Realty Lists the Residences at West Highland on Queen Anne, Seattle's Iconic Address
Seattle, WA (PRWEB) September 03, 2014 -- Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty, the Pacific Northwest’s largest affiliate for the global real estate network, announced today an exclusive listing agreement with Six Degrees Capital Development, LLC to sell the two remaining luxury residences at 202 and 212 West Highland Drive across from the famed Kerry Park on Queen Anne. The three level residences range in size from a 2 bedroom and 2.5 bathroom offered at $3,400,000, to a 3 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom, plus media room, offered at $4,500,000. Both homes have expansive 1200 sf rooftop terraces. The properties will be represented by Carrie DeBuys and Ric Dieu, who have been behind recent project market successes such as Carbon 56 and The Sanctuary.
“These extraordinary homes are in a category of one – there is no comparable,” says DeBuys for Seattle-based Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty. “We offer a coveted in-city location across from Kerry Park with Seattle’s quintessential views of the downtown skyline, Elliott Bay and Mt. Rainier, inspired floor plans, refined finishes and a lock-and-leave lifestyle. The only compromise is that only three were built and just two remain.”
The residences, which are modern interpretations of the East Coast brownstones, were constructed over the past several years and are officially listed for sale at a time of rising demand for such unique homes, say industry observers. To be sure, it has become increasingly common recently for luxury condominiums to fetch $900 to more than $1,400 per square foot at premium buildings such as Fifteen Twenty-One Second Avenue, The Four Seasons Private Residences, The Concord, First Hill Plaza, The Continental and Hillside Court. In August two penthouse condominiums at 111 West Highland, a 1974-built high-rise adjacent to Kerry Park, turned heads when they were snapped up within a week on the marketplace for $5 million. Comprising 2,572 and 2,764 square feet, the pricing equates to more than $925 per square foot before renovations.
“We’re witnessing a significant increase in demand for premium properties downtown because of the tremendous job growth in the city but also because the surrounding single-family home markets have recovered such that would-be sellers can finally make a move,” adds DeBuys. “In many cases, these down-sizing homebuyers aren’t content with the status-quo condominium or town home because they want the penthouse, the big view and grand entertaining spaces. At The Residences at West Highland, we offer all of the above and the distinction that there will never be another community quite like it. This location and the opportunity cannot be duplicated.”
DeBuys also believes the residences will be of specific interest for Californian’s seeking to secure a Washington residence for income tax purposes.
