Compass Playbook™ Brings New Fun to Orlando in a Creative Brainstorming Workshop
Orlando, FL (PRWEB) September 05, 2014 -- Compass Playbook Live invites participants to explore creative approaches to defining and clarifying goals through hands-on activities called Plays. These creative exercises range from mind maps to storyboards to free-form writing and invite participants to imagine from the perspective of their younger, less-inhibited selves. The framework is based on neuroscience and cognitive psychology and helps people break through habits that may have previously blocked their ability to realize their goals. It uses creative problem solving and brainstorming to inspire out-of-the-box thinking—the source of groundbreaking ideas, innovation and solutions.
The upcoming Compass Playbook Live event will be held at the Winter Park Community Center on Saturday, October 18th, 2014, from 9:15 AM to noon. Event admission is $39 for early registration (by 9/30/14) and $49 for regular registration. To register, visit CompassPlaybook.com. This event has limited seating capacity, so those interested are asked to register early to guarantee their seat.
Terry Pappy is the author of Compass Playbook: A Practical Guide to Creating Breakthrough Success, published in 2011. The book launch included public workshops called “Write Shops” offered across Orlando in 2011-12. Participant Ashlee Blair said, "Terry came out to the University of Central Florida to do a private Write Shop with some of the Professional Selling Program members. We were delighted with the experience and had a wonderful time exploring our creative sides.” Ms. Blair continued to describe Ms. Pappy’s facilitation style as having an “…exuberant, light-hearted spirit.”
The 2011-12 Compass Playbook Write Shops were limited to Central Florida. Ms. Pappy realized the potential of Compass Playbook from the success of these Write Shops and spent two years developing Compass Playbook Perfect™ Courses, bringing Compass Playbook training to a worldwide audience. The expanded offerings also include professional coaching and custom workshops for businesses and groups.
Ms. Pappy explains, “What I love about leading a Compass Playbook workshop is listening to participants share what they are suddenly aware of after doing the Plays. People get so excited as they doodle, storyboard or draw a mind map because they get to explore new possibilities around the things that are most important to them.” Ms. Pappy says she is providing adults a playground to rekindle their inner kid wisdom and have unbridled fun. “Self-growth doesn’t have to be boring or a chore like there’s something wrong with you that you have to fix. Being given permission to creatively explore is so freeing for people—sometimes I can’t get them to leave when the workshop is over they’re so engaged.”
The upcoming Compass Playbook Live event heralds the return to the live workshop scene and is a perfect complement to the new online offerings. Ms. Pappy plans to offer a regular assortment of Compass Playbook Live workshops to her home audience, adding more focused topics such as career, health and wellness, relationships and financial abundance. Her long-term goal is to expand the workshops across the nation through a network of trained Compass Playbook Live facilitators.
