Seattle Scientologists Share the Truth About Drugs with the Youth of their City
(PRWEB) September 03, 2014 -- Volunteers from the Church of Scientology of Seattle see the new school year as a challenge—a time to reach out to youth with the truth about drugs.
Drug abuse is an issue they take seriously, and one they carry out throughout the year with drug education lectures and seminars; drug education booklet distribution events; and drug prevention open houses where they introduce visitors to the Truth About Drugs, the drug education and prevention initiative supported by the Church of Scientology.
“When youth understand the consequences of taking drugs, they are far less likely to use them,” said one of the volunteers. “And now is a very important time to act, with a new school year starting and many youth being subjected to peer pressure to experiment with these harmful substances.”
The Church of Scientology supports The Truth About Drugs initiative, one of the world’s largest nongovernmental drug education and prevention campaigns.
To make this and the other humanitarian and social betterment initiatives it supports even more broadly available, the Church of Scientology has published a new brochure, Voice for Humanity—Real Help, Real Results.
Inspired by the words of L. Ron Hubbard, Founder of the Scientology religion, that “a being is only as valuable as he can serve others,” Scientologists wholeheartedly support these programs. Participation and collaboration in these initiatives is invited and welcomed from all who seek to improve conditions for themselves and others.
