Residents in Plainview will be the first in the West Texas area to experience the power of a one gigabit per second (1,000 Mbps) Internet connection on NTS owned fiber network.

NTS, Inc. (“NTS” or “the Company”) today announced that it has launched its one gigabit Internet service in Plainview, Texas, providing the region’s fastest speed.

With NTS’s one gigabit Internet service, customers will experience superior network speeds more than 100 times faster than average U.S. Internet speeds. These significantly enhanced network speeds will give customers the ability to download HD movies in seconds. In addition, customers will be able to stream and game instantly.
With one gigabit Internet speeds, customers can use all of their digital devices at the same time, without lags or buffering, including desktop computers, laptops, smartphones, tablets, Internet TVs, streaming set-top boxes, video game consoles, connected thermostats and more.

The NTS fiber build-out began with select markets in Texas, where the Company currently provides its fiber offerings, including Lubbock, Levelland, Smyer, Wolfforth, Littlefield, Burkburnett, Brownfield, Whitharral, Slaton, Meadow, Wilson, Lamesa, Hale Center, Abernathy, Plainview, and Iowa Park, Texas, including metro builds focused on the business communities in Wichita Falls, Abilene and Amarillo. The Company began connecting customers in Louisiana in April 2013. To date, the NTS fiber network in Louisiana serves customers in Hammond, Ponchatoula and Amite.
