83% of women say they have a good friend who they have met online but never in-person.

Friends trump romance.
55% of women say their relationship with a best friend is more important than one with a romantic partner.
Mobile devices and the Internet are key to staying in touch with close friends.
88% of women say they communicate with their close friends several times per week (in fact, 53% do so every day!).
68% of women say they primarily use their mobile phones or the Internet to communicate with close friends.
The majority of women have a long lost friend.
Nearly 70% of women say they have a good friend they've lost touch with and would like to reconnect.
Stuck on a deserted island? Women would prefer to be there with a friend.
More women would choose to be stuck on a deserted island with a friend than….their significant other, a family member, a celebrity or a beloved pet.
Women's BFFs aren't necessarily other women.
35% of women say their closest friend is a male.
