The U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention (USP) congratulates Jeffrey L. Sturchio, Ph.D., who has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Rabin Martin, a consulting firm whose work focuses on innovative solutions to global public health issues.

Piervincenzi, Ph.D.
Prior to joining Rabin Martin in 2011 as a senior partner, Dr. Sturchio was vice president for corporate responsibility at Merck & Co. Inc. and president of The Merck Company Foundation. Additionally, he has served as chairman of the U.S. Corporate Council on Africa and president and CEO of the Global Health Council.
Along with his service on the USP Board of Trustees, Dr. Sturchio is chairman of the BroadReach Institute of Training and Education, a member of the board for the Corporate Council on Africa and advises organizations such as the Clinton Global Initiative, the NCD Alliance, amfAR, the Global Health Group of the University of California, San Francisco, and the Center for Health and Wellbeing at Princeton's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. Dr. Sturchio is also a visiting scholar at the Institute for Applied Economics, Global Health and the Study of Business Enterprise at The Johns Hopkins University; a senior associate of the Global Health Policy Center at the Center for Strategic and International Studies; a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science; a member of the Council on Foreign Relations; and a principal of the Modernizing Foreign Assistance Network.
