Meaningful Use Stage 2 puts increasing demands on radiologists and their imaging facilities in regard to the new measures they are required to meet.

Certification Criteria Tested and Approved

INFINITT North America, an award-winning provider of image and information management solutions for healthcare, announced that the INFINITT G3 RIS version has been tested and certified as meeting the 2014 Modular Ambulatory EHR requirements, in accordance with ONC-ACB certification criteria. The INFINITT RIS was certified through InfoGard, one of the ONC-authorized certification bodies (ONC-ACBs), on August 21, 2014. The certification number issued to INFINITT is #IG-2384-14-0055.

“Meaningful Use Stage 2 puts increasing demands on radiologists and their imaging facilities in regard to the new measures they are required to meet.” stated Mike Higgins, Application and Planning Manager of INFINITT North America. “Infinitt has added a plethora of new features and modules to the INFINITT RIS to accommodate Stage 2 requirements, while keeping the product as intuitive and user-friendly as possible.”

“One of the Stage 2 menu objectives is making imaging results accessible through certified EHR technology. Infinitt goes beyond that to include the capability to request/view appointments, access educational materials, participate in surveys and more. This is all available in the Infinitt PATIENT PORTAL, which is a must for Stage 2 facilities, but a value-added addition to any Infinitt RIS environment.”

INFINITT’s Stage 2 compliant RIS also includes the ability to build Clinical Decision Intervention Rules, to generate patient lists based on data entered specifically for Meaningful Use, and to gather new data elements such as patient family history and communication preferences.

Additional software relied upon for certification with the Infinitt RIS Meaningful Use Module is Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
