Vizzion Launches Traffic Camera Desktop Video Wall for Operations Centers
Detroit, Michigan (PRWEB) September 08, 2014 -- Vizzion, Inc., the world’s largest traffic camera aggregator, today announces the launch of its turnkey desktop video wall application for operations centers at ITS World Congress in Detroit. Transportation agencies, public safety organizations, fleet managers, media organizations, incident aggregators, and emergency managers are invited to Vizzion’s Booth #924 on the show floor for hands-on, live demonstrations of the application and to learn more about traffic camera options that are available for operations centers.
Vizzion’s new desktop application is a ready to use and highly customizable way for operations centers to watch live traffic, incidents, and weather from the most cameras in the most places. Through over 150 partnerships with municipal, state, federal, and toll-road agencies, Vizzion can supply operations centers with over 35,000 cameras in 28 countries and 600 cities. Current coverage includes North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Australasia. With the best traffic camera coverage available, operations centers can make the most informed decisions while responding to and tracking emergencies and other events.
From the application’s map view, users can view cameras and their locations or drag and drop them into custom video walls for viewing up to 25 cameras per screen at a time. From the video wall view, 25 cameras at a time are automatically refreshed and can be displayed as streaming video where available. Cameras can be “undocked” into floating camera windows or displayed full screen for a highly configurable multi-screen set up. Users can create an unlimited number of custom video walls to monitor specific events or geographies. Video walls are personalized to each user and can be selectively shared between users as well.
“At the moment, operations centers generally have access to a limited number of local cameras, and it can be prohibitively expensive to build your own in-house traffic camera applications,” explained Vizzion President Chris Cooper, “we’ve used our 10 years of experience with application development and traffic cameras to develop from the ground up the most effective way to watch your region’s road network.” Further benefits to operations centers are unique features and options such as current viewpoint detection, automatic image enhancement, and automatic intelligent cropping to make the most out of screen real estate.
Vizzion is offering cost-effective site licenses with unlimited users per site and a variety of geographic options from single markets to worldwide coverage. This new desktop application builds on Vizzion’s proven XML feed, which is used by many leading web, mobile, fleet, automotive, and broadcast organizations to power traffic cameras in their applications.
