“Where's Tony”, the 2nd book in the Young adult series “The Dream Ten” hits Amazon's best sellers list in the sports category, thanks to a remarkable cooperation between author A.D Erving, the pen name of Israeli Amir Doron, and NBA and US team star Stephen Curry.
A.D. Erving, the pen name of the Israeli author Amir Doron, set his goal to win the hearts of millions of basketball lovers teens in the US, with his book series “The Dream Ten”, which was a mega hit in Israel.
Erving recognized NBA All Star Stephen Curry as the perfect representative for the series, and approached him a year ago about a possible partnership, sending along a copy of “David’s Miracle.” His first book in the series "The Dream Ten". After reading the book and learning more about the series’ electronic format and social-media-driven marketing concept, Curry enthusiastically agreed.
“I really think it’s a great series,” Curry said. “I identified right away with David and his friends; I know what it’s like to be the underdog and to have people doubt you. The stories are fun, but I think the messages are equally important: work hard, stay positive, and believe in yourself. These are the kind of values I’ve always believed in. Kids are going to love it.”
As the Dream Ten’s official brand ambassador, Curry raised awareness for this promising series and engaged with his fans on social media to support the book.
The first book slowly gathered fans, with almost 6,000 fans on the Facebook book fan club. Due to demand, Erving decided to precede with his second book publication “Where’s Tony?” to the Amazon Kindle store and released the book a few weeks ago. Yesterday, the book finally reached Amazon's best sellers list in Children's Basketball Books.
