Hire Heroes USA Confirms 54 Veterans Hired in One Week
Alpharetta, Ga. (PRWEB) September 08, 2014 -- Hire Heroes USA, a 501 c(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping veterans transform their military service into civilian success, has confirmed a total of 90 veterans hired in the past two weeks, including 54 during the week ending 23 August. The organization is on track to exceed over 1,500 confirmed hires in 2014.
Hire Heroes USA team members assist nearly 150 transitioning service members, veterans and their spouses each week through personalized, one-on-one career coaching. Trained transition specialists, over 80% who are veterans themselves, work with veterans to create resumes that translate their military experience into civilian terms, and develop effective job search, job application and interviewing techniques. Through program improvements, the organization has maintained this individualized model of service while decreasing the cost per hire 21% over the past year, from $2,861 to less than $2,250.
