At IBC 2014, You.i and Pace will unveil a new way for operators to build beautiful, custom user interfaces for PayTV that run at 60fps while leveraging a simple development process. The You.i and Pace solution can be used to create standalone user interfaces or to enhance existing user interface solutions in partnership with other third party providers.
You.i and Pace will demonstrate this new user-experience technology on Pace 4K Media Servers and IP Pucks, pre-integrated with Pace Elements middleware for both RDK and non-RDK deployments.
The demonstration will also highlight how the new joint technology slashes development time and allows richer, motion-based user interface designs when compared to other approaches.
Jason Flick, CEO of You.i said, “We’re excited to showcase a technology partnership with Pace that will both enhance the quality of user experience that operators can offer their customers and significantly reduce their time-to-market across multiple platforms.”
Simon Leadlay, Director of Product Marketing for Pace Software & Services agrees: “Many operators have felt the challenges of getting their user interface vision implemented on the set-top box. The new pre-integration of You.i and Pace Elements middleware is one of Pace’s approaches to user interfaces and offers a welcomed and powerful approach to user interface development across the plethora of devices used by our PayTV customers.”
You.i Engine is the interface engine for TV everywhere. It’s new way to build TV Everywhere applications with smooth performance and elegant design across endless devices and operating systems. You.i Design is a team of interface designers who use You.i Engine to push the boundaries of what is possible in a multi-screen video application.
