Move extends Quini’s wine tasting market reach and enhances French speaking user experience

Engaging French-speaking wine consumers opens up important new markets for Quini from Quebec in Canada, to France and Switzerland where we’re seeing growing interest in Quini.

Quini, an interactive wine tasting, rating and recommendations application and data solutions provider (http://www.quiniwine.com) today announced the release of Quini in French, for iPad and iPhone.

French localization of Quini is the first non-English version release of the application and new wine tasting standard. The move supports the company’s international plans and focus on optimizing user experience.

The French version offers full function access and usability of the original English edition of Quini, all in French. This includes search, Quini’s proprietary five step interactive wine tasting and rating process, tasting catalogue, the application’s extensive library of pre-defined aromas and flavours, and instant tasting notes publisher.

“We’re working hard to give wine professionals and enthusiasts worldwide access to Quini with the best possible user experience,” said Quini’s CEO Roger Noujeim. “Engaging French-speaking wine consumers opens up important new markets for Quini from Quebec in Canada, to France and Switzerland where we’re seeing growing interest in Quini.”

Said Calgary-based wine education expert and sommelière Renée Delorme: “Quini’s French localization responds to a key market. As an educator who regularly delivers wine courses in French, a French version of Quini is extremely beneficial both as a teaching standard and as a learning platform for students.”

Quini made its official launch in February of this year, with its English version. The application allows wine connoisseurs and experts to review and rate wines with greater detail than ever before, setting a new industry standard. Unlike typical scoring systems and star-based ratings, Quini captures user scores and input on five separate aspects (Eye, Nose, Mouth, Finish, Opinion) of the tasting process to produce a wine’s overall rating with a zero to 100 range. A colourful five-petal Quini Bloom supports the numeric score with a visual representation of the user’s review of the wine, uniquely shaped to reflect their experience for each of the five aspects of the wine.

Quini is available for download from the App Store. The French edition will automatically appear on user devices set to the French language.
