Chelsea came close to winning the league last season after being many people’s favourites and if anything they are stronger favourites this year with the additions of Luis, Fabregas and Diego Costa.

The summer transfer window is now closed and all eyes are now firmly focused back on the Premier League season and the stars they will be following.
Several players that have been transferred this summer either on loans or contracts like Filipe Luis will be carrying the dreams of fans and in the case of Luis to take over from long-term left-back Ashley Cole.
Football fans have flocked to the Official Filipe Luis PFA Facebook page in search of news and updates on the new Chelsea defender, creating a surge in growth and interaction. Post reach on his Facebook page has increased by as much as 200% in the past day. The Brazilian joined Chelsea in the Summer from Atletico Madrid where he made 127 appearances. The 29-year-old was part of the much admired Atletico backline that conceded just 26 goals in the league and went on to claim their first league title in 18 years.
Head of Operations at DSG. Matthew Tait has this to say: “Filpe Luis joined Chelsea in July 2014 for a fee of £15.8m and a three year contract. The player said he was looking forward to giving his best over the coming seasons and that the move was a dream come true. We have some great Facebook pages for PFA members and are extremely proud to be helping them with their social media presence with great content that their fans are really responding to.”
Jason Hope, Content Manager of DSG believes that the player’s media exposure is sure to increase with the Premier League season now in full flow: “Chelsea came close to winning the league last season after being many people’s favourites and if anything they are stronger favourites this year with the additions of Luis, Fabregas and Diego Costa. So far Chelsea have made a perfect start to the Premier League season with nine points from three games and I think they will be difficult to stop, especially with the transfer restrictions at City. We are all excited to see what happens this season with Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool closely matched last season and looking to improve.”
