Florida Medical Cannabis Firm AltMed Appoints Two Senior Physicians to Executive Team
Sarasota, FL (PRWEB) September 09, 2014 -- AltMed, a fully integrated Florida company bringing pharmaceutical industry precision to the development and production of medical cannabis is building its scientific and medical capabilities with the appointment of Dr. Valerie Riddle, MS, FACP as Chief Medical Officer and Dr. Matthew Nessetti, Ph.D, MD, JD (Candidate) as Florida Medical Director.
AltMed is led by former pharmaceutical senior executives, David Wright and Michael Smullen, who have combined their pharma experience to launch Florida’s leading integrated medical cannabis firm. The two executives share a passion for rigorous quality assurance and the scientific research required to deliver advanced high-quality treatments. Building a strong scientific and medical research team is a top priority, to drive the firm’s commitment to pharmaceutical-quality medical cannabis.
Dr. Nessetti is a Board Certified Family Physician and a Board Certified Medical Psychologist and Psychopharmacologist. He has served as a medical director for healthcare organizations for more than 20 years, and is an avid proponent of integrated health, wellness and prevention. Dr. Nessetti currently serves as medical director of the All Care Medical Center with ancillary locations in Lakewood Ranch, Venice, and throughout Sarasota and Manatee counties.
Dr. Nessetti will be responsible for ensuring quality control for all processes associated with growing, processing and dispensing low THC Medical Cannabis as required under the Compassionate Medical Cannabis Act of 2014.

Dr. Riddle, received her MD from the University of South Florida and is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases.
