Walker continues to be a vibrant community with the power to transform lives. Join them for one or all of these great events.Hundreds of participants are expected to attend. All events benefit therapeutic and academic programs for children, teens, and families throughout the Massachusetts area. Events will be held Thursday, October 2nd, through Monday October 6th, 2014.
Thursday, October 2nd - Dine for a Cause
Not Your Average Joe's in Needham has partnered with Walker to kick-off the Walker Weekend of Events! On October 2, enjoy lunch or dinner at their Chapel Street restaurant and the restaurant will donate 15% of your total order to Walker! Eat-In or Take-Out. Simply, present this certificate to your server or at check-out and enjoy.
Friday, October 3rd - Volunteer at Walker
Volunteer with Walker from 3-5pm on Friday, October 3rd. Assist with 5K route signs and posters, prepare participant goodie bags, and more. RSVP to Elana Sable at email@example.com, Special Events Coordinator.
Saturday, October 4th - Early Bib # Pick-Up for Runners
All pre-registered 5K runners for the Walk/Run for Walker can pick up their bib numbers early and skip the registration line on Sunday. Marathon Sports at 255 Washington Street in Wellesley will be hosting a bib pick-up from Noon to 5:30pm and will offer a 20% discount for any shopping that is done that day.
