Imagine Products Showcases New USB-3 LTO Drive with LTFS Archiving Applications for HD Workflows in Amsterdam at the 2014 IBC Show
Indianapolis, Indiana, USA (PRWEB) September 10, 2014 -- Imagine Products, Inc.™ will unveil for the first time a portable LTO-6 tape drive connected to a personal computer via the USB-3 port and new archiving software to control it. By pairing Imagine's new PreRoll Post™ for Windows™ software with the USB-3 controlled LTO drive, Imagine will demonstrate a powerful, portable archive solution at the IBC 2014 show, RAI Convention Center, September 12-16, 2014.
"The Windows version of PreRoll Post™ builds upon Imagine's expertise in easy to install and use archive software geared for the media industry." said Dan Montgomery, President, Imagine Products, Inc. "We're excited to offer this application specifically geared for demanding 4K HD RAW workflows."
PreRoll Post™ for Windows is designed for 64-bit operating systems (Windows 7 & 8). It has a 'single window' type user interface with all important functions readily accessible. Drag and drop files and folders into the queue for copying to tape while simultaneously browsing or searching tape contents for retrieval.
There's also an optional Backup Wizard mode to assist new or occasional users in easily creating archives. Imagine partnered with Discovery Channel to seamlessly format tapes and verify their contents to comply with Discovery's rigorous specifications.
The UNITEX™ LT60 drive has an IBM LTO-6 tape mechanism and offers a USB-3 port for flexibility and high speed data transfers, without the need for cumbersome SAS converters or expensive Thunderbolt enabled computers. LTFS drivers are provided for Windows and Macintosh platforms. The drive features an internal power converter and is supplied with 110 and 220 power cords. Fully CE and UL certified.
PreRoll Post™ for Macintosh is available now from Imagine's web store and valued resellers worldwide. The Windows version is planned for general release in 4th quarter of 2014. MSRP for either version is $US499.
The UNITEX™ LT60 drive will be offered on Imagine's web store mid-September 2014.
