Wendy Johnson Lario Selected as a Litigation Counsel of America Fellow

Wendy Johnson Lario, Chair of the New Jersey Labor & Employment Practice of international law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP, has been selected as a fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA), an invitation-only trial lawyer society limited to less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. The induction takes place during LCA’s 2014 Fall Conference & Celebration of Fellows October 8-10 at The Roosevelt New Orleans, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel.

Lario represents employers in litigation involving claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and whistleblowing, among others. She appears regularly in federal and state courts in New Jersey and New York and defends employers against charges filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights (NJDCR) and the New York Division of Human Rights (NYDHR). Lario has been listed in multiple editions of Chambers USA Guide, The Best Lawyers in America, The Legal 500 and New Jersey Super Lawyers and was a recipient of the Alice Paul Institute’s 2013 "Alice Paul Equality Award."

Greenberg Traurig’s Labor & Employment Practice provides an array of workplace strategies and legal counsel, including practical and efficient consulting, technical assistance, and litigation services for domestic and international clients. The team offers a wide range of services, from initial counseling to National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and National Mediation Board proceedings. They help employers maintain positive relations with their employees while avoiding the expense and disruption of litigation.
