Park Paw-ineers: Lake George RV Park Adds On-Site Dog Park
LAKE GEORGE, NY (PRWEB) September 11, 2014 -- For more than 45 years, the Lake George RV Park has been a model in the industry, creating new park offerings that go beyond guests’ expectations. That tradition continues today with the announcement of Charlie’s Bark Park, the RV park’s new, two acre on-site dog park and off-leash recreation area.
Charlie’s Bark Park, reserved for registered guests only, features walking paths, a synthetic turf play area, spray fountain, agility events, and other elements that are sure to get tails wagging. In addition, a new pavilion at the park’s entrance houses a dog wash station, pet treats vending machine and restroom. The fully enclosed park has areas designated for both large and small dogs.
Lake George RV Park President and CEO David King estimates that over 60% of guests bring their dogs with them to the RV park, and designed Charlie’s Bark Park with dog lovers in mind.
“As dog lovers, we understand that dogs are like children, and there’s nothing worse than having to leave your ‘child’ behind when you go RVing,” says King. “We’ve always welcomed dogs, but now we’ve created a whole park specifically for them. We feel this will be a game-changer, and increase our solid base of loyal and returning campers every season.”
The “over the top” dog park, which King says is an industry first, is the latest on a long list of other on-site amenities, including indoor and outdoor swimming pools, private fishing ponds, paddle boats, paved biking trails that connect to the Warren Country Bike Trail system, as well as a trolley service that shuttles guests to nearby shopping destinations. Guests also have access to indoor facilities, such as a fitness center, pool tables, shuffleboard, live family entertainment at the French Mountain Playhouse and more.
