Gates receives Head of the Class Award for employee education and training from the Auto Care Association

The Gates Corporation, leader in automotive and industrial aftermarket manufacturing, has been recognized by the Auto Care Association for their exemplary employee education and training efforts. The company received the 2014 Head of the Class Award on Sept. 4 during the Auto Care Association’s Fall Leadership Days in Boston, Mass. Gates was one of eight auto care industry companies that won the award and represented the manufacturer category of the auto care industry.

The Head of the Class Award was created by the Auto Care Association to recognize company training and education efforts of employees within the auto care industry. The winners of this year’s award demonstrated dedication to furthering the education of employees within their companies. These winning companies were selected based on the education and training practices of the company, including what prompted the company to invest in training, the types of training accomplished, the initial goals, their experiences, results of the training and any future plans.

“Gates has a longstanding history of keeping the education of all of their employees current and up-to-date,” said Scott Howat, Director of End Market Communications and Training. “We believe that training our employees allows us to effectively help all of our customers provide better products and service.”
