As one fan stated at the Grand Opening Kickoff party, "Kicks On 66 is the coolest thing to happen to Glendora since The Donut Man."

Kicks On 66, East San Gabriel Valley’s first coworking space, opened its doors on historic Route 66 at 440 E. Route 66 in August, bringing a new way to work to the San Gabriel Valley.
Coworking, a global new trend in workspace, allows freelancers and independent professionals to work alongside others in a shared, flexible space while working for themselves. As increasingly more employees telecommute or work outside of a traditional office, there is a rising need for comfortable workspace without distractions that facilitates creativity and productivity.
Coworking is quickly expanding to fill this need (http://blog.sqwiggle.com/coworking-trends-statistics/). It offers workers the ability to use the space on a flexible basis, ranging from day use of an open, shared area to monthly rentals of reserved, locked offices. Kicks On 66 offers all of these options, as well as conference rooms and an approximately 2,000 sq. ft. back studio warehouse appropriate for photo shoots and special events.
A distinctive feature of coworking is an emphasis on collaboration and networking. Many coworking spaces encourage their members to gather on a regular basis, offering industry-related seminars, as well as social gatherings to facilitate relationships and networking. Kicks On 66 is following suit by offering itself as a venue to various organizations for their meetups via Meetup.com, as well as hosting its own meetups (http://www.meetup.com/goodmeetups/).
Kicks On 66 already houses eGood, a social entrepreneurship startup that helps customers and businesses to donate a portion of their transactions to charity and RyCa Films, a video production company. As one fan stated at the Grand Opening Kickoff party, “Kicks On 66 is the coolest thing to happen to Glendora since The Donut Man.”
