Service management software provider OTRS Group is releasing a beta version of its new software release, OTRS 4. The beta version comes with a new numeric versioning scheme, and is released with a new strategic plan for OTRS going forward, with a focus on features and professional services.

OTRS Group, the world’s leading provider of open source and cloud-based service management software solutions, today announces the start of the beta release phase of its new version of OTRS 4. The new release can be downloaded and tested for free.

With a new, one-digit versioning scheme, the beta marks a new era for OTRS solutions. The OTRS 4 Beta features an ultra-flat and clean design, a powerful Template Engine based on Template Toolkit, and a central Object Manager. Through an improved visual design, the new beta helps agents to work on tickets even faster. The Template Engine and the Object Manager were designed to improve operating process efficiency and make the software future-proof. Therefore OTRS 4 is resource-saving and faster than ever.
