NextCo, Inc. to Donate All 2014 TickerTalk iOS App Proceeds to Help ALS Research
Ponte Vedra Beach, FL (PRWEB) September 13, 2014 -- The TickerTalk app for iPhone, iPad and iPod gained popularity at the 2013 Summer Olympics because it allowed users to display messages to anyone in their line of sight. Messages could be scrolled across the screen like a news ticker or be displayed as static messages. With its unique features – the ability to:
~ scroll the playback left-to-right or right-to-left to accommodate numerous languages;
~ flip the playback so messages can be read in a mirror;
~ easily adjust the messages’ scroll speed, font, size, color, message direction; and
~ create and save any number of messages;
TickerTalk was the perfect app for the occasion.
While TickerTalk is wonderful for cheering on your favorite sports teams and players, it is also great for teaching younger children to type and read messages. Your child may not be old enough to text, but they can TickerTalk. TickerTalk doesn't require knowing another person’s phone number or social ID, it doesn't consume minutes, or need an internet connection. Users just hold up their smart devices and show their messages. One option allows one static message to dissolve into another, while another option turns scrolling text into static text.There are many uses for TickerTalk, including "literally" showing your support of ALS funding and awareness.
NextCo, Inc. recently promoted their Apple iOS TickerTalk app in the annual ALS "Phillies Phestival" fundraising ad book. Each year NextCo takes out an ad in the event book, sometimes to promote a product, but always to celebrate the life of one of the founder’s mother, Judy Hoffman, who died from the disease. NextCo designed the ad in April of 2014 and the event was May 14, 2014, so this was a couple of months before NextCo became aware of Pete’s Challenge, also known as the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.
Judy Hoffman was diagnosed with ALS in the early ‘90s then died in 1996. ALS was a relatively unknown disease, struggling to receive funding and awareness. Pete Frates, his family and friends changed that!
Pete Frates has brought tremendous awareness and financial aid to ALS by sharing his story and challenge. NextCo has taken the Ice bucket Challenge, which included getting doused with buckets of ice water and sending a check to ALS. In addition, NextCo, Inc. is going to donate 100% of its 2014 TickerTalk app proceeds to ALS research.
NextCo, Inc. is excited about providing further aid for ALS research through its TickerTalk ALS fundraising and awareness campaign. NextCo extends their best wishes and hopes to the many people suffering from ALS or any disease.
NextCo, Inc. offers a variety of iOS apps for iPhones, iPads and iPods. One of its favorite apps among friends and family (great for lots of laughs!) is MutantMaker, where users can take photos of family and friends and make goofy new faces of them in real time. The new images can be saved in multiple resolutions, and shared by texting, posting to social media, such as Twitter, Flicker and Facebook, be emailed or 'AirDropped". As of this writing, all apps are $0.99 or free. A new game will be released later this fall.
