Master Painter Pomm Selected to Exhibit Her Award-Winning Artwork at Gallery 950 in Downtown Los Angeles
Glendale, CA (PRWEB) September 11, 2014 -- World-famous master painter Pomm will exhibit her award-winning watercolors, oil paintings and portraits in “A Collection of Work by Pomm” at Gallery 950 at The Met Apartments in downtown Los Angeles from September 11 through November 11, 2014. Visitors and collectors will have the opportunity to meet Pomm at the gallery’s artist reception on Thursday, September 11, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Because the exhibit’s opening day coincides with the 13th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, Pomm will be displaying “We Believe in Peace,” an inspiring watercolor created as a plea for world peace. A passionate human rights advocate, Pomm will also donate 10% of the proceeds from her limited edition print sales to UNICEF, the well-known children’s advocacy group founded by the United Nations.
Based in Glendale, California, Pomm began her 30-year career as a watercolorist. She would go on to innovate her signature style of using translucent watercolors, applied in many layers, to create the strong colors, light and shadows which give her paintings a European feel. More recently, Pomm has put her talent and classical training to work in the medium of oil with much success, as evidenced by steady demand for her oil paintings from both the serious and casual collector.
“I am looking forward to my exhibit at Gallery 950,” says master painter Pomm. “To touch someone's heart is what moves me and inspires me to paint. Knowing that my art helps others feel peaceful makes it all worthwhile—their joy is my joy.”
“A Collection of Work by Pomm” will run from September 11 to November 11, 2014, at Gallery 950 at The Met Apartments, 950 S. Flower St., Los Angeles, CA, 90015. Gallery hours are 10am - 9pm.
