New York City Band, City Bridge Worship, Promises to Bring a New Sound to Christian Music
New York, NY (PRWEB) September 15, 2014 -- This week, a new band based out of New York City makes it’s debut into the Christian Music Industry, City Bridge Worship. The Big Apple is known for many things, but Contemporary Christian Music isn’t one of them. City Bridge Worship is hoping to change that by representing their city in the genre and delivering a truly unique and fresh sound.
On Monday September 15th, the band releases their debut single “Come”. “We are really excited to finally reveal the song to the whole world, we worked extremely hard on making the song distinctly different from songs listeners may be accustomed listening to, and we think we nailed it! Some say it is a risky move when bands ignore the popular sound, but it’s a risk we are willing to take because we really believe in this song,” says lead vocalist David Badillo.
Inspired by the Pentecost as described in the Book of Acts, the band has categorized their single as a revival song due to it’s centralized message of the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. Rhythm guitarist Rafael Morales is quite confident about the potential impact on listeners, “I think people who desire to experience Spirit filled living, are really going to connect to this song”
City Bridge Worship is comprised of six members representing four different churches. They are currently working on their debut E.P. set for release in 2015, and are already in the beginning stages of working on a second single for release later this year.
