Dave Victorino's New CD, Circadian Rhythms, Released
Los Angeles, Ca. (PRWEB) September 12, 2014 -- Dave Victorino, on tenor saxophone and flute, has just released his latest Latin jazz CD, Circadian Rhythms, through CDBaby.com. Dave is the composer of two of the songs, "You People" and "Bossa Do Tchaikovsky."
Dave's jazz group has the familiar Latin, bossa nova sounds of Carlos Jobim. Well known Los Angeles-based musicians also on the CD are: Steve Correll, Ernie Nunoz, Roland Henkel, Robertito Melendez, Justin Smith, Joey Ruffo and Tsgumi Shikano. This is jazz at its best with such favorites as Shirley, Favela, Tangerine and The Night has a 1000 Eyes. It's Latin and traditional jazz with very talented and creative musicians.
Dave has been performing in the Southern California area for twenty-five years, starting in college, while attending Calif. State University, Los Angeles, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance. He trained under Stan Kenton and other well known teachers in Los Angeles. He has played at nearly every significant jazz club and concert hall in Southern California, including The Lighthouse and most recently Spazios, and with Barbara Morrison. He is a member of Local 47 in Los Angeles and teaches saxophone and flute as an adjunct to his performing schedule. He was born in Los Angeles and grew up hearing salsa, jazz and swing music. He started playing the guitar at age eight and continued with the saxophone and flute when he was in junior high achool. Dave is a aax player who loves to perform and especially traditional and Latin jazz. He is, of course, fluent in Spanish.
The band will be performing September 12, 2014 at 7:00 pm at the AZO Wine Bar, 144 W. Badillo, Covina, California. Bookings are now being taken for the Fall and the upcoming holidays for all special events.
