Bookacoach to Host Nation’s Top Youth Sports Organizations for Safety Summit
Indianapolis, IN (PRWEB) September 16, 2014 -- bookacoach, an Indianapolis based corporation that provides an online marketplace for sports training, today announced they will host a Safety Summit on Monday, November 17th, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis bringing together the nation’s top youth sports organizations to discuss, learn and build better standards for background checks and safety policies in youth sports.
The BAC Safety Summit will cover a range of topics including background checks, safety policies, risk tolerance and management in youth sports -- providing leaders a rare opportunity to learn directly from the challenges faced by peers in youth sports.
Participating organizations include: USA Football, US Lacrosse, US Youth Soccer, National Soccer Coaches Association of America, National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, National Alliance of Youth Sports, National Junior Tennis & Learning, HeadFirst Camps, ProCamps and the National Center for Safety Initiatives, among others.
“From day one, it has been our mission to be the safest place for coaches and parents to manage athletic development across all sports,” said bookacoach Chief Executive Officer and Founder, Kevin MacCauley. “Bringing together safety leaders in youth sports represents a major step in achieving that mission for our team. We believe the summit provides a fresh dialogue in youth sports on background checks that will result in new insights, and a first of its kind, industry leading safety standard.”
Scheduled on Monday, November 17th at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, the BAC Safety Summit is an invitation only event with a limited number of attendees.
Since its formation in 2011, bookacoach has grown to become the nation’s largest online sports lesson marketplace of county level background checked coaches. Known as the BAC Safety Certification, all coaches must undergo the bookacoach background check, repeated annually. The process was developed with the guidance and support of local law enforcement and consists of a national, state and county level background check. Every coach must pass the safety certification process in order to manage his/her training on bookacoach.
