Zane's the Other Side of the Pillow Romantic Dramedy Presented by The Black Academy of Arts and Letters
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) September 23, 2014 -- Based on the author's new book, "The Other Side of the Pillow," this Romantic Dramedy is slated for a one week run with eight (8) performances, Tuesday through Sunday, October 21- 26, 2014. Show times are 8pm Tuesday through Saturday and 7:30pm on Sunday. There are two matinee performances Saturday and Sunday at 3:00pm. Curtis King, who recently directed and produced the last major live public theatre performance of the late actress/writer Ruby Dee...prior to her death... at the historic Apollo Theatre, will direct.
"The Other Side of the Pillow" examines, explores and exposes what it means to truly fall in love," explains Zane. "It proves that true love stories do not have a happy ending. True love stories never end at all."
Billed as a part of TBAAL's 38th season Dress Performance Theatre Series, this theatrical endeavor with the assembled stellar cast of actors and singers, signals that Zane is in a creative league of her own.
Some of the established and seasoned actors slated to perform in the ensemble cast include:
FREDA PAYNE, Grammy nominated singer and actress, is best known for her million selling 1970s hit single, “Band of Gold.” She will portray the role of Lilibeth.
CHRISTIAN KEYES, American actor and producer, is best known for his roles in the movies “Note to Self,” “Perfect Combination” and “Diary of a Mad Black Woman.” He will portray the role of Tevin.
JENNIFER WILLIAMS, actor and star from the popular VH1 television reality docu-series, “Basketball Wives”, will portray the role of Courtney.
FRENCHIE DAVIS, Broadway, soul and pop singer, became an American favorite semi-finalist on the television show, "The Voice" and she was a major contender on the second season of television's "American Idol". She will portray the role of Wimsome.
PATRICE FISHER, actor best known for her work in the Cinemax Series, Zane’s "Sex Chronicles” and her recurring role in the TV Series, “Charmed.” She will portray the role of Jemistry Daniels.
DeMILLE COLE-HEARD, trained actor and singer, is best known for his work in Tyler Perry’s “House of Payne.” He will portray the role of Floyd.
TIANA MAHALAH, trained actress featured in numerous regional theatre productions, was a contestant on Fox Television’s “American Idol.” She will portray the role of Courtney.
JOHN DRAGONKING, Dragonking will portray the role of Anthony.
