The Clark Law Office Announces the Winner of Their First Annual Legal Scholarship
Okemos, MI (PRWEB) September 12, 2014 -- The Clark Law Office, a leading personal injury law firm that is dedicated to representing people, not insurance companies, recently announced the winner of their first annual legal scholarship. The winner of the 2014 scholarship went to Allison Thornton who will be attending Virginia Law School this year.
The Clark Law Office announced their contest back in May of 2014 – it was for a $1000 with the intention of relieving some of the financial burden that law school brings with it. Participants were asked to write an essay answering the following question: “What are your current hopes for your career after completing law school?” The judging criteria was based on the applicant’s overall academic performance, as well as the 600-1200 word essay.
The law firm received a lot of participants in this contest, and while many were impressive, none of the entries were as impressive as Allison Thornton. What really caught the attention of the law firm was Allison’s passion towards helping the less fortunate. In her essay, she wrote, “After law school, I hope to embark on a career that focuses on the issues from the ground up and ensures that the less fortunate can experience personal change and improvement.”
They plan on offering the scholarship again in 2015 and they hope to receive many more applications. Those applicants who previously entered the contest are invited to enter it again. The deadline for the 2015 Scholarship will be July 15, 2015. The winner will be announced on August 15, 2015. They have loosened the criteria for entering and now all future and current law students can apply.
