All under one housing, the ITAS contains a high-performance antenna, Iridium 9602 SBD modem, power regulation and serial communication interface in order to effortlessly integrate global Short Burst Data (SBD) communication for the best possible service.
In addition to a non-fused protection against electrical transients (ESD, load dump, etc. per SAE J1113/11/12/13) the ITAS family of products features a fused over-current protection allowing for use with unregulated power supplies of 8-32VDC. ITAS‘ automotive grade M12-8 pin connector assembly terminates and grounds the cable-shield making the ITAS perfectly suited to be used in electrically noisy environments. These are distinct advantages for problem-free use in the widest variety of applications. Various options of available extension cables with waterproof connectors are rounding this robust concept.
