Tijuana Flats Teams Up With No Kid Hungry And Share Our Strength
All Locations to Raise Money to Help End Childhood Hunger
September 10th through September 19th, Tijuana Flats will join forces with Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign to raise money for children facing hunger. A portion of proceeds from every kid’s meal as well as the sale of Tijuana Flats’ Just In Queso hot sauce will be donated to the cause. The Tijuana Flats Just In Queso Foundation will also match all proceeds raised during this time frame.
Tijuana Flats hopes to raise $10,000 over the 10-day period. One in four children is facing the struggle of hunger and only 14% of kids who qualify for free/reduced lunch are currently receiving summer meals. Tijuana Flats is confident that this donation will change the lives of many.
“After learning about the impact that Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign has on the children of our local communities we immediately joined forces with them. Many of us take daily meals on the table for granted and we want to ensure that we do our part to raise not only money but awareness for this widespread epidemic,” said Brad Kaemmer, Chief Executive Officer for Tijuana Flats.
In addition to the monetary donation, the Tijuana Flats’ Just In Queso Foundation has set up community outreach days for Tijuana Flats’ employees in six different markets throughout the month of September. Volunteers will help package and provide food for local families in need.

About No Kid Hungry
No child should grow up hungry in America, but 1 in 5 kids will face hunger this year. When kids get the food they need, they do better in and out of the classroom. Using practical solutions, No Kid Hungry is ending hunger everywhere it affects kids -at home, at school, and where they play. No Kid Hungry makes sure children start the day with a nutritious breakfast, and end the day with an affordable meal by teaching families skills to shop and cook on a budget. When we all work together, we can connect kids to healthy foods and end childhood hunger in America. No Kid Hungry is led by Share Our Strength.
