Z3 Technology Offers New HDMI™ Encoding Solution with Release of Z3-DME-03 Digital Media Encoder

This is the latest addition to the ZEUS™ line of H.264 Digital Media Encoders and Decoders. The versatile product has many applications including broadcast encoding, satellite uplink, HD security server, industrial applications and remote monitoring. With encoding capability of up to 1080p60 or dual channel of 1080i30, the Z3-DME-03 supports H.264 BP, MP and HP.

With a small footprint of 118 x 121 x 34 mm and a weight of only 475 g, this compact unit is ideal for those with space concerns. The Z3-DME-03 also boasts low power consumption (6W typical). As with all of Z3’s ZEUS product line, the unit is easy to set up, configure or update with the latest software through a web based graphical user interface (GUI).

A streamlined version of Z3’s other Digital Media Encoder (DME) products, the Z3-DME-03 offers inputs for 3G-SDI, Composite and HDMI. Geared toward IP, any of the mentioned inputs can be used with the Gigabit Ethernet output. Additional interfaces include USB 2.0 and RS-232 that can be used for configuration.

• Audio Bit Rate: 12kbps to 320kbps
