Announcement: GuitarControl.com releases “Killer Guitar Lick with Sweep Picking - Shred Guitar Lesson”
(PRWEB) September 12, 2014 -- Darrin teaches a cool lick that combines sweep picking arpeggios with the minor pentatonic scale in this lead guitar lesson. Darrin starts off by explaining how to perform the sweep picking technique in a way that is easy for even the beginner guitarist to understand and execute. Goodman demonstrates how to play the lick as follows; starting with an Em (E minor) arpeggio that consists of 3rd finger on the 14th fret of the 4th string and first finger bared across the 12th fret of the first three strings which is swept with one continuous down stroke and followed with the 14th fret of the first string with 3rd finger and 15th fret with 4th finger and then a slide up to the 19th fret and then descend another voicing of an Em arpeggio and then slide down into Em pentatonic scale and end with an easy bluesy lick that consists of the 12th fret of the 4th string with first finger and a hammer-on to the 14th fret to the 12th fret of the 3rd string with first finger and back to the 14th fret of the 4th string and then back to the 12th fret of the 3rd string and finally a bend on the 14th fret of the 3rd string. Next Darrin repeats this entire sequence except changing the last note to the 15th fret of the 2nd string and then the whole lick again and ending on the 22nd fret of the 2nd string.
