Per Vices, a revolutionary hardware and solution provider, is pleased to announce the release of Crimson, the company’s latest Software Defined Radio, to the test and measurement market. The Crimson Software Defined Radio (SDR) builds on the extraordinary RF capabilities provided by previous products from Per Vices, and provides a robust wideband RF front end with a powerful digital back end.

Per Vices aims to provide hardware and software solutions to address the discontinuity between the cost and performance of radio frequency devices in the test and measurement market.

Crimson is a full duplex transceiver with an operating frequency from 100KHz to 6GHz with four independent receive and four independent transmit channels, each having 200MHz of instantaneous RF bandwidth with industry leading ADCs and DACs. “TI’s DAC38J84 digital-to-analog converter (DAC) and ADC16DX370 analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) enable Crimson to provide unmatched RF performance for the cost,” said Chuck Sanna, High Speed Products marketing manager at Texas Instruments. “This will enable manufacturers of radio equipment to not only extend their system capabilities, but to also develop new and unique applications.”

Crimson sets a new standard as the best valued SDR on the market with the capabilities of operating in standalone mode, as well as having the option to network with other equipment.
