White Paper: What iOS 8 Means For Sales Teams and Their Mobile Sales Apps

On Monday, September 9th, Infuse Media Group released a white paper detailing the imminent update to Apple’s mobile operating system, iOS 8, and what it means to sales teams specifically. The white paper, entitled “iOS 8: Everything You Need to Know for Your Sales Team and Your Applications,” is based on an interview conducted with Infuse’s Engineering Team Director. The paper discusses differences that have already been announced by Apple’s iOS development team, as well as likely changes Infuse’s developers have observed while working with beta versions of the new OS. The paper then outlines how those changes will affect the way sales teams can use mobile sales tools to help optimize their performance.

Changes discussed in the white paper include new integration opportunities, new app functionalities, a new programming language, and new mobile device sizes, among many more. The paper also warns app users of the potential effects of the update on older apps that use deprecated methods. Those responsible for their team’s mobile sales tools are encouraged to make sure that their apps are brought up-to-date to avoid potential bugs and crashes.
