INTEGRATED Healthcare Strategies Publishes Its 2014 National Healthcare Leadership Compensation Survey
Minneapolis, Minn. (PRWEB) September 12, 2014 -- INTEGRATED Healthcare Strategies, a national healthcare human resource consulting firm and leader in compensation and engagement surveys, recently published its 2014 National Healthcare Leadership Compensation Survey. It is the most extensive survey in the industry and is consistently published in late August to ensure healthcare organizations have the information they need to plan for the coming year.
The survey, released August 29, 2014, presents data on executive, director, and manager-level positions in healthcare, including salary structures and bonus plans from more than 1,300 participating healthcare organizations. National and regional data were summarized for 226 leadership positions and nearly 25,000 incumbents from four different groups of organizations: systems, hospitals, clinic/medical groups, and skilled nursing and LTC facilities.
The data compiled for the National Healthcare Leadership Compensation Survey is effective February 1, 2014.
A few key findings from the survey:
- 3% median salary increase for an independent hospital CEO over the last 12 months
- 98% of organizations provide a 401(k) or 403(b) plan, with nearly half of those providing both a matching and non-matching contribution
- 3% median projected increase for healthcare executive positions for the upcoming fiscal year
- Nearly 70% of organizations surveyed provide a HRA/HSA as a result of an increase in high deductible medical plans
“There’s a lot going on in healthcare and there’s a major shift in the economics of healthcare,” Kevin Talbot, executive vice president and practice leader of INTEGRATED’s Total Compensation and Rewards practice group, said. “This shift is putting pressure on margins—costs have risen more quickly than revenues.”
Ultimately, in today’s evolving healthcare environment, healthcare organizations can certainly benefit from exploring comprehensive benchmark data from INTEGRATED, a trusted compensation authority.
