Former Box Head of Enterprise Product and Industry Marketing, Robin Daniels, Joins ElasticBox as Chief Marketing Officer

Marketing veteran with 15 years of experience at Salesforce and Box ready for a new challenge in the booming market of business application development and deployment

Today ElasticBox, the company that enables IT as a service through real time collaboration on the delivery of applications, is announcing that it has hired Robin Daniels as Chief Marketing Officer. Robin is an industry veteran with more than 15 years of experience in high tech product marketing leadership and has played major roles with companies like Box, Salesforce, and Veritas Software (now Symantec).

Robin Daniels comes to ElasticBox from Box, where he was head of enterprise product and industry marketing for three years. At Box, Robin’s responsibilities included leading the go to market strategy for the enterprise business, as well as messaging and positioning, competitive intelligence, pricing and packaging, sales enablement, and industry growth.

Before joining Box, Robin spent four years at Salesforce.com where he ran product marketing for Chatter, which is widely accepted as one of the most successful products to launch from Salesforce. At Salesforce Robin also spent time looking after product marketing for EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa).

Prior to Salesforce, Robin spent several years at Vignette, Veritas and a number of other start-ups around the world. Robin brings extensive knowledge in the areas of cloud computing, enterprise mobility, enterprise software and business innovation to ElasticBox.

Daniels’ hiring follows the announcement of ElasticBox’s latest funding round, which closed at $9M in April, and the hiring of Monish Sharma and Rick Gouveia as VP of Customer Success and VP of Sales, respectively.
