Today ElasticBox, the company that enables IT as a service through real time collaboration on the delivery of applications, is announcing that it has hired Robin Daniels as Chief Marketing Officer. Robin is an industry veteran with more than 15 years of experience in high tech product marketing leadership and has played major roles with companies like Box, Salesforce, and Veritas Software (now Symantec).
“This is one of the most exciting times in the history of enterprise technology,” said Daniels. “I am thrilled to bring my experience and expertise to ElasticBox, a company that is creating differentiated, useful and incredibly unique solutions for internal application development, for every business across industries. To win in today’s business environment you have to develop apps faster than your competitors, and ElasticBox helps you do just that.”
Robin Daniels comes to ElasticBox from Box, where he was head of enterprise product and industry marketing for three years. At Box, Robin’s responsibilities included leading the go to market strategy for the enterprise business, as well as messaging and positioning, competitive intelligence, pricing and packaging, sales enablement, and industry growth.
Before joining Box, Robin spent four years at Salesforce.com where he ran product marketing for Chatter, which is widely accepted as one of the most successful products to launch from Salesforce. At Salesforce Robin also spent time looking after product marketing for EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa).
Prior to Salesforce, Robin spent several years at Vignette, Veritas and a number of other start-ups around the world. Robin brings extensive knowledge in the areas of cloud computing, enterprise mobility, enterprise software and business innovation to ElasticBox.
“In the last two months, we’ve brought even more world-class talent to our team with three outstanding executive hires.” said Ravi Srivatsav, CEO and cofounder of ElasticBox. “It’s truly a testament to our strong momentum and leaves us very well positioned for continued growth through the end of 2014 and beyond.”
Daniels’ hiring follows the announcement of ElasticBox’s latest funding round, which closed at $9M in April, and the hiring of Monish Sharma and Rick Gouveia as VP of Customer Success and VP of Sales, respectively.
Founded in 2011, ElasticBox is a DevOps platform that streamlines the development, deployment and management of multi-tier applications across any cloud. Developers and IT operations can collaborate to create a catalog of applications and infrastructure components that can be consumed as a service. Once defined, applications can be seamlessly deployed and managed in any cloud environment.
