Oncology Specialists of Charlotte Adds Two MDs to Highly-Regarded Patient Care Staff
Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) September 15, 2014 -- Catherine E. Moore, MD, and Jason G. Shultz, MD, have joined the growing patient care staff at Oncology Specialists of Charlotte (OSC). Both Moore and Shultz are practicing in the oncology and hematology group’s Randolph Road office in Eastover.

Dr. Moore joins OSC after completing her hematology and oncology fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, where she served as chief fellow in her final year. Dr. Moore is board certified in internal medicine and board eligible in hematology/medical oncology. During her fellowship training, Dr. Moore’s clinical and research focus was in genitourinary cancers (including prostate, bladder, renal and testicular) as well as in breast cancer.
Dr. Moore was awarded the Iowa Oncology Society Travel award for her work on breast MRI imaging. She is a graduate of Perdue University and Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, and completed her internship and residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
Dr. Shultz, board certified in internal medicine and board eligible in medical oncology, joins OSC after completing a residency in internal medicine at the University of Oklahoma-Tulsa, followed by a fellowship in Medical Oncology at East Tennessee State University. Dr. Shultz is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
A Davidson College graduate, Dr. Shultz served as a middle school science teacher prior to beginning medical school. He also worked for MedCath Diagnostics, assisting in the development of outpatient diagnostic facilities with physician partners. Dr. Shultz is also a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
