Girl Scouts Opens First Aid/CPR and Outdoor Skills Certification Courses to Augusta Area Outdoor Enthusiasts
Augusta, GA (PRWEB) September 12, 2014 -- Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia invites adults (male and female) to take advantage of upcoming skills training courses along with the organization’s volunteers this fall. Girl Scout volunteers receive some of the best training available at a remarkably low cost. Registration fees cover the costs of instruction and materials and should be paid to Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia. Certified trainers will be providing the following certification courses in the local area:
First Aid/Child & Adult CPR - $55 for non-Girl Scout members

Deadline to register: 9/20/14
Outdoor Skills 101 - $45 for non-Girl Scout members
The course covers: how to use campfires for basic outdoor cooking including foil and one pot meals; use of a propane stove; knife safety; how to tie knots; how to apply girl-led planning and progression; health, safety, and security controls to ensure the well-being of girls and adults; and how to experience living in the out-of-doors. Note- pre-course work will be required.
